The International Chromium Development Association (ICDA) is the international association of the Chromium Industry.

With a membership representing 26 countries across 5 continents, it is the authoritative voice of the industry, dealing with HP003 chromium in all its forms. 

Created in 1984 and based in Paris, France, the ICDA is a non-profit association to promote the value and sustainability of chromium and to represent the Chromium Industry worldwide, through communication, forums and R&D projects.

Its Members include the vast majority of the world’s producers of chromite ore and many users of chromite, including producers of ferrochrome, stainless steel, chromium metal, chromium chemicals, refractory bricks and foundry sands, trading companies, end-users and service providers. In fact, the ICDA is a forum for any organisation involved with the world of chromium.

It is the ICDA’s purpose and objective to promote free competition and provide benefit to consumers. The Association therefore acts in strict accordance with national and international competition/antitrust laws and regulations intended to protect free, fair and open competition. ICDA staff, Members and their guests at ICDA events are thus formally bound to neither discuss nor disclose business-sensitive information concerning individual companies (production capacity, profits, market shares, distribution volumes, customers, etc.) or market forecasts and price trends.
