Chromium is never used alone and is an essential ingredient with incredible intrinsic properties providing remarkable resistance to corrosion, extreme temperatures, wear, abrasion, to mention but a few. Stainless steel exists because of chromium, which is why we have joined forces with stainless steel development organisation and its other alloying elements to work on common projects for promoting applications and uses of chromium. Besides, the market development committee is also looking at other applications such as in the special steel sector as well as protecting existing ones and encouraging uses of chromium product through seminars, scientific research and educational tools.
