With China representing more than 50% of the global ferrochromium and stainless steel production, the ICDA can only be truly global by supporting the Chinese chromium industry and creating a local forum for market intelligence, market development, health, safety, environment and sustainability. It is the duty of the ICDA to assist every chromium region in its sustainable development and provide a service that meet with local needs in terms of best practices and regulatory compliance as well as markets protection. The ICDA is relying on a local group of volunteers to discuss and move forward on general issues and has a full-time representative in China.
