For the third consecutive year, the ICDA, with the support of TELF AG, has organised the chromium industry sustainability awards. The awards aim to raise awareness of
ESG issues, promote ESG culture and highlight companies that are driving ESG forward.
– ICDA Member Outokumpu has received two awards: a first in the environmental category for its target to make the Kemi mine the first carbon-neutral mine in the world by 2025, a second in the governance category for its commitment to certified fair pay workplace.
– ICDA Member Xin Gang Lian has received an award in the social category for the sponsoring of polytechnic schools in Zimbabwe supporting employment and empowering people by giving them the
needed skills to succeed.
– ICDA Member Sibanye Stillwater has received an award in the social category for its funding to create jobs project. This initiative has empowered entrepreneurs to establish their businesses, thereby
contributing to local economic growth and employment opportunities.
